Republic Airlines and Afterward — Mr Nicholas Bredimus
Hailing from New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus brought software, airlines, and hospitality together and to the benefit of all three trades. He has done everything from the creation of computer programs that automate resource and time intensive processes to increasing aircraft safety and even designs for upmarket homes. His lineage tells you everything you ought to know concerning his talents and the tremendous amount he has accomplished. With roots all the way into ancient history, Nicholas’ family tree can be linked to several different countries within Europe. Within the maternal branch he hails from German and Scottish stock. A similarly wide mingling stands out in his father’s side; prior to their emigration in the 1800s, the family dwelt in England and Luxembourg. Naturally, following emigration to the U.S., the family maintained its drive and zeal to make their way in the world. Part of a family of seven children — three boys and four girls — Nicholas had a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who earned her living as a nurse. Mr Bredimus went on to live in Texas for a number of years as well as in Kansas City, MO, Scottsdale, AZ and Reston, VA. He’s stepped up to the challenge of prominent posts within companies across the air travel sector — the majority of them popular brands. Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest — these airlines would all at different times appoint him their VP. Most prominent, though, was his time as an inspired programmer working with the airlines.
He is most recognized for one particular project, namely his airplane maintenance computer programs that can be found in use by almost all air travel companies. Of course, this was just one of his key innovations for the hotel sector and for airlines. His flight booking software is on its way to joining the aircraft maintenance program as a standard, while his hotel reservation program enabled many major companies in the hotel industry to shift to the first pc based technology. For an encore he published an automated, networked system for ticket sales which was an industry first.
He employed these successes to advance into positions not related to software design. With his own firm — Bredimus Systems — as a Division Manager with American Express, and as the inaugural president of AMR Travel Services his performance is certainly remarkable. Though he has departed from the roles in which he first tasted fortune, his abilities are, regardless, still very much in use. His attention has shifted to the architectural problems behind the creation of environmentally friendly, technologically advanced high-priced houses.
